Golden Desert Engagement | Salt Lake City, Utah

All. the. Magic. Traveling to Utah’s Salt Lake City for this couple’s engagement photos was such an incredible experience. I love being a DC wedding photographer everyday, but love love love to travel and get out of the busy city too- especially when it means I am photographing amazing folks like these two here! I talk a lot about my love of travel and am still checking places off my USA bucket list. Our adventurous shoot was out in the salt flats – Holy cow, talk about crazy beautiful. Sometimes I have to remind myself that it doesn’t always have to be traveling somewhere exotic across the sea to be an adventure and Utah has been on that bucket list for a long time. This was my very first time visiting. I CANNOT WAIT to get back.

So travel and exploring new places are literally the center of Jill + Pat’s world as The Luxe Travelers . We ran around, cuddled, and had piggy back rides until the sun went down. Sunset is one of my favorite times to shoot because we, of course, have this epic low sun but we also have this magical blue hour moment!

If you’ve been debating on traveling somewhere – GO. Right now. Get your booty off the couch and make it happen! I wish I had made it here sooner and my only regret is not staying long to literally just road trip around the state. If your engaged, married, just have a partner you love, get some epic photos of yourselves together while you are visiting! Not only are going to preserve those memories for a lifetime, but you will have a freakin’ ball exploring a new place together = )
