WINTER BILLY GOAT TRAIL ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS | GREAT FALLS, MD

As a wedding photographer in DC, it blows my mind that we have beautiful backdrops like Great Falls within just a few miles. I really enjoy getting outside of the concrete buildings and exploring. I know it is like the dead of summer, but it is HOT HOT HOT in DC. It has me dreaming of fall and photographing Allison + Jack’s September wedding! I am so so ready  for the cooler weather, although this flash back day was beyond freezing cold. Buuuttt it just meant lots of awesome cuddling!  Jack + Allison new instantly knew where their’s were going to be- Great Falls, MD right outside of the city. 

Jack worked the trails at Great Falls a few years back so naturally, it is where we headed! Talk about adventuring. We climbed some epic rocks on the Billy Goat trail overlooking the river. Man, it was coolddd but we ran around, cuddled, and hiked our little butts off anyways = ) Also, A + J had THE best hats I’ve ever seen in my life. 

My advice when choosing a location for your engagement photos would be to pick a place that has some meaning to you just like Jack and Allison did! It will make these photos mean even more by just being in “your spot” whether that be a cozy coffee shop, the harbor, or a place out in the middle of the forest!

Find the person that makes you the happiest. 

I need September to get here already so we can get these two mmarriieeddd!!!
