A second shooter is an additional photographer that will be there to cover your day as well. Twice the fun! I highly recommend booking a second photographer now matter how large your wedding is. My husband, Patrick, is my second shooter and we make a great team! Booking both of us allows us to literally be in two places at once. This is SOO helpful for getting ready time, the ceremony, and reception. It allows us to capture lots of different angles, all of your guests, and all of those in between magical moments! Allssooo, you get more photos =)

I HIGHLY recommend having an unplugged ceremony! This just means that you ask (with a cute sign or have the officiant announce) that you would like guests to keep their devices/ phones away and simply be fully present for the ceremony. You want them to enjoy this moment with you! Also, it prevents people from leaning into the aisle trying to take a photo with their phone/ ipad. Imagine if this happened during your first kiss!!

It is highly unlikely that something would happen and prevent me from making it to your wedding! Don’t worry though, there is a back up plan! I will choose a highly skilled photographer from the area to cover your day! We photographers band together and are totally there for each other. I am part of a little “emergency” group for this exact circumstance.

YASSS, I love them!! If you aren’t familiar, first looks are when you two will see each other before the ceremony. I HIGHLY recommend a first look. It gets 90% of the photos out of the way before the ceremony so we are not rushing around crazy pants during our little cocktail hour. My husband and I did a first look and I it was so so special. It doesn’t take any of the magic away- it gives you even MORE. You can embrace, interact with each other and actually spend your full wedding day together. Also, don’t think he won’t react when you walk down the aisle! These are actually the grooms that have the biggest smile and teary eyes.

YES! These are so important. Your photos are not meant to live behind your tiny phone screen. Give your precious memories a life of love. Read more on why these prints + handmade albums are so dear to my heart HERE

  • Engagement + Couples Sessions

You want to wear something that makes you feel comfortable + confident! It should be an outfit (s) that actually feel like you most importantly! I will send you a little tips guide before our session and you can totally send me pics/ bring your favorite options!

Heck yah! The mall is an incredible location! I suggest we go at sunrise to avoid the crazy crowds. We will also need a photography permit which you can get HERE. It is usually a 2-3 week turn around for the permit. There are also a few other places in the District that require permits including some botanical gardens, private parks, and the National Arboretum.

If you already put a deposit down on your date and you have to move/cancel, the deposit is legally non-refundable and a new deposit will have to be made to secure your new date. Your retainer is non refundable and cannot be applied to another date. If your wedding is canceled, your deposit will not be refunded.

Rain and snow filled sessions have been some of my favorite! They are so romantic and unique. Bonus, I have those super cute clear umbrellas for fun. If the weather is unsafe or way to harsh for our comfort (or could ruin my gear) we will definitely reschedule! We could also have a cozy home session! These might be the great love of my life. They are just so comfortable and intimate. See some examples HERE.

YYASS! I cannot recommend these enough! This is such a special time in your life, let’s preserve these memories. Engagement sessions also let us get to know each other/hang in a relaxed environment and get you comfortable in front of the camera so that wedding day there are absolutely no worries or awkward feelings.

Hell yah! Dog, horse, cat (yup, we’ve done it!)- your fur babies are such an important part of your life and should totally be included!!

Each collection is a little different! Typically, I deliver between 50-100 images per hour. (You will see the absolute minimum number of photos you will receive under each collection in the guide.) I don’t like to give an official cut off number, because I am not going to withhold anything from you!  I am not going to short you on your memories because we’ve hit some crazy artificial number. I take a lot of time and care to choose the best of the best and I promise you will have plenty!!

No, I do not release the RAW/unedited images. I believe that editing is the other half of the magic and the image is unfinished without it. I promise I will not withhold any amazing shots from you! However, if you feel that something is missing, don’t hesitate to ask and I am more than happy to check back through for you! You are not going to miss out on these precious memories!

First, send me a message over on the contact page! Tell me all about you and how you envision your wedding day! I’ll send you over all the collection options and help you figure out which would be best for your day. Once we hang/chat and know we are a great fit, I’ll send you over a contract to fill out. I just need that contract signed and a 50% non refundable deposit to reserve your date!

I am based out of Washington, DC and definitely travel all over Maryland and Virginia all the time! YASS, I travel! I take a limited number of destination weddings/ shoots per year so say hey and lets get started planning! I definitely have couples take a little trip over to the district for sessions! The DMV (DC- Maryland- Virginia) area has SO MANY beautiful locations for shoots- Mountains, forests, parks, rivers, city, industrial, small town feels, monuments on the national mall and wide open fields. If you want ideas for places around DC to visit, shoot, (eat!), or just explore let me know!

Typically, yes! Almost all of our couples add a second photographer and he is the man! If he is not shooting, he will often come to assist!

For couples and family sessions, your gallery will be ready within 3 weeks or less. Don’t worry though, I’ll send you guys some sneak peeks early on!

Weddings + elopements will receive a highlights gallery within 2 weeks of the wedding to enjoy while your full gallery is being processed! Typically, full galleries are ready in 6 weeks or less.

I try to get them back to you as soon as possible while making sure I give each individual photo the time and care it deserves.

Once you’ve paid your 50% retainer to reserve your date, the remaining 50% balance will be due 2 months before your wedding date or 3 weeks before your session. If we book within 3 weeks of your session date, I require the full amount at signing. I am happy to split up these payments for you (up to 3 different payments) if that will make it easier for you!

You are beautiful just the way you are! I celebrate self love and positive body image so I will not make any body shape or drastic changes to anyone. I will, however, touch up blemishes and little distracting things in the background.

Yes!! I can be involved as much or little as you would like! I am more than happy to help you as much as I can. I can send over other amazing vendors for your day or help with the timeline. You just let me know what you need cause I want this experience to be enjoyable + stress free!

I travel up to 2 hours outside of DC with no travel fee. Depending on where your wedding is, there will be a small travel fee for gas. I might require accommodations for the night of the wedding if it is too far or late for me to drive home safely. I do not have a “set” travel fee like some photographers. I want this to be as affordable as possible for you! For weddings outside Maryland, DC, or Virginia you’ll just cover the cost to get me there, accommodations, and transportation. (I am also totally cool with being picked up at the airport, whatever will make it easier for yah!) For booking, I will book my travel flights and rental car on my own. You can book my stay though if you’d like! I’ll be sure to send you the costs before anything is booked so that there are no unpleasant surprises. You will just get an invoice for the total.

Yes! I do a limited number of family sessions a year! I specialize in smaller families so if yours is on the larger size, I have awesome recommendations for you!
