RED GATE FARM WEDDING SAVANNAH, GA | SAVANNAH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Traveling + Love + beautiful barns + trees covered in Spanish moss = YESS please. I love my job as a destination wedding photographer. I not only get to meet the most awesome people around, but I get to visit some incredible places on top of it! Savannah, GA is one of my favorite cities. My home base is Washington, DC now but Savannah was the first place my husband and I lived after college and holds a special place in our hearts. So I feel like mine probably skipped a beat when Logan + Kevin asked me to photograph their Savannah wedding at Red Gate Farms! I had been their once before when I was actually in the wedding of one of my best friends and needless to say I could not wait to be back.

Lets just say I needed ALL the tissues for this one.

We started with getting ready photos – this might be my favorite part of the day. I love the quiet excitement before everything. Logan had the cutest blue robes for her ladies to wear while they were doing hair + make up. Kevin gave her the elegant elephant necklace (Logan attended the University of Alabama and is a BIG fan!). The two had a first look under the large southern oak tree and said their vows by the water – there may or may not have been some ugly crying behind the lens.

I am always amazed at the creativity of my couples, especially when it comes to their “guest book”. Logan + Kevin love to play games with family and friends so they decided to have guests sign these giant Jenga pieces! The two had a baked potato bar and quesadilla stations waiting and the guests headed into the barn for the reception. The crew partied on said goodbye to the Adams with a grand sparkler exit!
